Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to our Financial Controller. You will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports for the family board and executive team, and ensuring compliance to all regulatory institutions. This role is office based located in South Melbourne.

What is the role? 

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports;
• Provide guidance and training to the Accounts Payable and Receivable team;
• Assist with forecasting and budgets;
• Reconciliation of company balance sheets;
• Participate with regular external audits and conduct internal audits;
• Collaborate with different departments and provide insights to good financial measures; and
• Provide insights and data to the family board and executive team.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce preferable
• Proficiency in SAP advantageous
• 5+ years financial Accountant experience
